Lost, Unloved, Unidentified
Inspector Warren rushed to the scene after receiving a call about a dog that had been run over in Kew. On arrival, he found a black adult female dog who appeared to have had puppies unable to walk with her back legs. She had no microchip or any form of identification.
With great care, Inspector Warren carried her into the vehicle and transported her to the clinic. Sadly, after examination the clinic confirmed that her spine was broken. To end her suffering, the difficult decision was made to humanely euthanize her.
Inspector Warren returned to the area to search for her puppies and spoke to neighbours but no puppies were found and no one recognized the dog.
This heartbreaking case is a reminder of the importance of responsible pet care. We appeal to all members of the public:
* Sterilize your pets to prevent unwanted litters.
* Microchip your pets so they can be identified and reunited if lost.
* Keep them safe at home to protect them from accidents and harm.
Together, we can prevent tragedies like this and ensure every animal is safe, loved and cared for.
